VIA DEMOCRATIA EUROPA (E)

Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Brussels – this is where the heart of Europe beats. There is a symbolism on the map: the three cities lie on a line at almost the same distance.

A beautiful coincidence and a beautiful symbol for the VIA DEMOCRATIA EUROPA and the separation of ­powers in European democracy!

The “European Route of Democracy” ­connects cities and places that are ­closely linked because of the founding and ­development of the European Union as we know it today. The route runs along the ­barely visible national borders between ­Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg and Netherlands.

It traces beautiful landscapes offering a rich variety of sights and a special, regional-multinational flair. The European idea becomes experiential (tangible).
